Yes, many parents bring their little ones in for chiropractic care right after birth, and around big milestones like rolling, crawling, sitting, standing and walking. In fact, many pediatricians recommend that parents take their children in for regular checkups with a chiropractor in order to ensure that their spines are properly aligned and functioning optimally, and are reaching developmental milestones.

The frequency of visits will vary depending on your child's individual needs and condition(s). Generally speaking, it is recommended that babies visit a pediatric chiropractor after birth and around other developmental motor milestones (every couple of months). If your child is experiencing any health issues, discomfort, or delayed motor milestones then more frequent visits may be recommended by your doctor or the pediatrician.

Most initial visits are one hour, with follow-up visits lasting around 20-30 minutes depending on the complexity of what is being treated. During this time, a detailed history from you about your child’s health as well as perform an examination in order to accurately diagnose any underlying issues that may need treatment through manual adjustments, muscle work, and stretches. Home stretches/exercises will also be demonstrated and practiced in office so parents are comfortable with them before leaving.

Many insurance companies do cover some or all of the cost associated with receiving regular pediatric adjustments; however it’s best to check with your extended health benefits beforehand in order to determine what type of coverage you have available, and ensure your child has been added to your coverage. Our clinic direct bills to most major insurance companies.

Your appointment is reserved for you. We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Any cancellations under 24 hours, or no-shows, the client will be charged the full fee for the appointment. Thank you for understanding.

There is paid meter parking at the front entrance of our building on Kingsway. There is also free 2-hour parking on some of the side streets located around our clinic, such as Olive Street by Waves café. The clinic is located on the second floor. On weekends you will need to buzz #203 to access the front door and elevator.
